Shoe Lusting
Drools....
Now what to buy? These shoes are for pre-order from my favorite and trusted multiply shops. I'm choosing between the many biker boots. I've already narrowed down my choices for the closed toe booties (#10 and #11). And I'm dying over the Anne D. replicas but I don't think I can pull it off. Hee. And I might not be able to wear it all the time.
Now these I would kill for.

I'm seriously having a dilemma. I really like to buy the patent booties. It's exactly the same shoes Lindsay Lohan wore at an event and I also saw a photo of Kylie Minogue wearing one! But it would also kill me. Killer heels + Killer price. But I really really want this. Argh.

All this stress over some shoes. I'd go for travel. Hehe.

Wedding Venue Hopping
So my sister's getting married this December. Older sisters seem to have an inevitable power over the younger ones. They could give you a mountain of tasks to do and all you could ever do is say, "Okay!". Haha. Seriously, I think I'm even more excited than she is. I spent one whole Saturday just searching for possible venues online. So the next weekend she decided to check out some of the places, and I had to go with her. I was happy to oblige. :) Our first stop was Renaissance Hotel. It was the 1st on her list. Unfortunately, the event's place coordinator was out for lunch. So we just took a photo instead.

And that's me telling the guards to fuck off. Bawal magpicture? Baket Discovery ba to? or Manila Pen? Anywaaaay.
After stopping by Greenhills to eat lunch, we then proceeded to our next destination--Lemuria.
It's my sister's favorite among the rest. So she had high hopes. Well, the place was amazing. We love the country-ish homey feel to it. Only problem is--it's too small. It can only accommodate 40 people. A hundred could fit but the guests wouldn't be in the same room. And it's a little pricey for her.

The hostess was very gracious and nice I'd probably go reserve a seat or two for their Valentine's day event! A masquerade ball!:)
Lemuria is located at Horseshoe Village, Q.C.
Our next stop---OASIS. It's located along Aurora Blvd. So it's very accessible. When we checked out the place there was a wedding taking place. And for us to enter their admin office we had to brush shoulders with the wedding's visitors, entourage, etc. Minus pogi points for me. I wouldn't want that for my sister's wedding. Coz if it were up to me I'd want it to be as solemn and private as possible. And I didn't really feel that vibe in Oasis. It was so chaotic (sorry). Non-wedding guests were coming in and out of the venue. We were even permitted to check out the reception venue with the guests there! I felt a little queasy coz I wouldn't want any stranger going in and out of my sister's reception. But that's me.

As soon as we got back to the car we crossed that place out of our list. Sorry. :) Next stop-- Plaza Ibarra. It's located along Timog Avenue, Q.C.
I have passed by this place a million times but it's the 1st time I ever got a glimpse of what's actually inside. The guy who accommodated us was very nice as well. He even showed us the function hall while an event (a wedding and a debut) was taking place. But unlike Oasis, we were only taking a peek-see behind a door. :) We love the setting.

Our last stop for that night--Annabel's. It's a nice romantic cozy restaurant which offers International dishes. And who would have thought there's a big garden inside which is just perfect for weddings?:) And the best part is the price! It's the cheapest among the 4 places.

I felt extremely exhausted after (plus the fact that we haven't slept since the night before). But I had a lot of fun being part of my sister's journey to a new life. :) She still has a lot of places on her list. And I now have to go and work on the other tasks she dumped on me. Very willingly. :)
Toodles!

Life or something like it
My bestfriend seems to have done everything he wanted to do in his life. And he's only 25. I'm wondering when I'd be able to say that. I'm guessing NEVER. And it made me think about what I want to do with mine. I want to list everything down but it would take me forever to finish it. If only sleeping isn't necessary I'd stay awake all the days of my life. There's so much to do out there with but so little time. And I'm well aware I could go anytime (knock on wood).
So here's a partial list of my so called Bucket List. Just some things I want to see, feel, touch before I go kaputz.
1.) Coffee in an old school cafe in Paris.

2.) See the Louvre and take a picture of the famous paintings there.

3.) Visit Pope John Paul's tomb in St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican.

4.) See the old places in Rome.

5.) See the Pyramids in Egypt and the Great Wall of China.

6.) Safari trip in Africa.

7.) Learn how to cook.
8.) Learn 2 foreign language (I'm thinking Mandarin or Niponggo and Spanish--I've always wanted to learn Spanish and Nippongo).
9.) Be fluent in Bisaya!
10.) Reach my 115 lbs. goal.
11.) Walk on a real runway.
12.) Visit the Auschwitz Concentration Camp in Germany. (I'm obsessed with WWII history)

13.) Take a picture with harajuku girls in Japan! And see the cherry blossoms.

15.) Pretend and dress up like a guy for 1 day.
16.) Adopt a child and nurture her/him.
17.) Record an album (kahit for myself lang!)
18.) Learn to expertly play the guitar.
19.) Swim with Dolphins.

20.) Celebrate New Year in Times Square!

21.) Ride on a death defying rollercoaster!

22.) Complete a Christmas Village.
23.) Get an MBA.
24.) Get an article published on a newspaper or magazine.
25.) Go to an art gallery and purchase at least 1 painting.
26.) Be blessed by the Dalai Lama and/or the Pope.
27.) Spend a week at a Silent Retreat.
28. ) Send my parents on their dream vacation (na kasama kami!)
29.) Write a letter to the people I love which they can only read after I die.
30.) Make my own clothes.
That's it--so far. I know #30 is not the end. I'd keep on editing this as I go along. I'm pretty sure I'd think of something new to do again.
Now I wonder--can one lifetime be ever enough? *Sigh*
