What is RISQ? RISQ is a search for the best student designers who will become the “New stars in summer lifestyle fashion”. But it’s not just any competition… it’s gonna be one of the biggest fashion shows in the country! The show was created by two young fashion forward extrepreneurs: fashion photographer/Indio Bravos Multimedia President & CEO Ms. Kristine Soguilon and 2010 GO Negosyo Inspiring Young Filipino Entrepreneur & Ideal Events International founder & managing director Ms. Cristina Tanseco-Guerrero.

RISQ is a competition between 11 students of fashion design, fashion merchandising and fashion management programs where they will be challenged to take the risk of designing a complete wardrobe collection for men and women which consists of only 11 sets that sophisticated clients can take on a summer weekend holiday. The contestants will also be working with fashion experts to bring their vision to life. Sounds exciting!
Joining schools are as follows:
- Fashion Institute of the Philippines-Ortigas
- Fashion Institute of the Philippines-Makati
- Fashion Institute of the Philippines-Quezon City
- School of Fashion and the Arts
- Style Studio Fashion and Design School Philippines
- University of the Philippines
Best part is some of the proceeds from RISQ will go to the Rotary San Nicolas Street Children’s Foundation! Now this is what I'm in for. :)
