 3. MEGA Young Designers Competition

The longest running fashion competition in the Philippines is back once again to introduce the newest additions to Philippine fashion. MEGA Young Designers Competition (YDC) was created by Sari Yap, founder of the MEGA Publishing Group and EIC of MEGA magazine, to highlight the immense talents of aspiring Filipino designers. She envisioned a gathering of creative minds that can bring Philippine fashion to the runways of the world. 

It is through fashion that designers tell their story of inspirations and creations. The highly anticipated YDC constantly looks for designers who have fresh and innovative concepts to prove that they deserve their needed break in the industry. Watch once again as the passion, aesthetic and skills of 18 new breed designers unfold in the 3rd season of MEGA’s Young Designers Competition.

4.UNSCRIPTED by Sarah Meier & Vicky Herrera

Unscripted is a book of the compilations of the conversations Sarah Meier (Model, MTV VJ, TV host, scriptwriter, radio DJ, and newspaper columnist) and Vicky Herrera (Model, TV host, editor, radio DJ, newspaper columnist and journalist) had with the Real OGs - people who were deemed influential and innovative in their respective fields. Why? Well, let’s just say that the conversations were too valuable not to be immortalized. Reading about the different lessons and trials that each OG encountered in their rise to success is both inspiring and thought-provoking. 5. SOLO x KENKOY Extended Model Search!

The search for the next faces of Solo for 2012 is EXTENDED due to popular request! Submission of entries is extended until November 30 and Voting ends on December 2.

Head over to the contest site www.solo.com.ph/modelsearch2011 and be part of this year’s search! You may be the next face of Solo by submitting your creative photo entries or by taking part by supporting and voting for your fave entries! Entries will be judged according to the following criteria: 30% Voter’s Choice and 70% Solo’s Choice (40% for Being Photogenic, 20% for Creativity and Styling and 10% Layout) for a total of 100%. The highest scorers: 10 Male Photo Entries and 10 Female Photo Entries will be the finalists. The top 20 finalists will have a go-see and interview with the judges. Cash Prizes and gift certificates await the grand winners for Best Male and Best Female Photo Entries, as well as their partner Graphic Artist/Photographer. 6. RIIR MaSAYA collection by Oliver Tolentino 

RIIR Designer LinE, in partnership with premier universal bank, Metrobank Platinum, has redefined fashion with the launch of its latest collection of couture bags designed by internationally-acclaimed Filipino designer Oliver Tolentino. The collaboration has resulted to an awe-inspiring line of clutches and totes in vibrant hues, bold patterns and distinctly Filipino design.
