I love it when designers collaborate with brands because it gives people (like me) a chance to own one of their creations without having to pay too much. Heee. It also gives the general public access to the designs, art and ingenuity that designers are born with. Anyway, Folded & Hung once again teamed up with famed local designers Jerome Lorico (mens) and Eric delos Santos (womens) to create an amazing summer collection that would surely blow you away!
Jerome Lorico combines both tailored look with layback
vibe of this season. Green, Red and Brown with watermelons and parrots as print
summarize what the collection is. He says the summer is the season I enjoy the
most because people are allowed to play with colors, allowing men to experiment
and explore on fashion. This is quite challenging especially for most boys who
try to stick to the tried and tested, so this hopefully this becomes an avenue
for them to be more comfortable to different things.
Eric de los
Santos counts that his summer collection is greatly inspired by the colours of
the beach where the sun shines brighter and the people enjoying the breeze.
Orange, Blue, Turquoise and Pink compose of the pieces of the collection,
perfectly fit for the season. Cover-ups, dresses and tops and bottoms complete
the much anticipated designs of Eric, each accentuating the body of a woman by using
flowy and soft materials. Eric recounts that every woman is her muse for this
collection. The idea is to make the woman feel confident, empowered
as well as sexy whenever she wears my clothes.
Congrats F&H for this fabulous collection! And to Mikko for a job well done in directing this shoot! Woot!:)
Bet ko yun aztec prints! Lakas maka-Missoni! Good job for local brands collaborating with local designers!
