ZALORA, Asia’s leading online fashion destination has brought an exciting array of new Filipino fashion talent to online shoppers through the recently launched ZALORA Marketplace. The Marketplace gives independent fashion designers and boutiques the opportunity to instantly expand their business and reach new customers online.
To celebrate the launch of Marketplace, ZALORA has gathered the hottest up-and-coming boutiques, fashion media and bloggers in one special event at 12 Monkeys in Century Mall. The ZALORA Marketplace team raffled off over P50,000 worth of prizes from select boutiques. Okay, now I feel for not being able to attend the launch but I'm overly excited about their new & exciting venture! I think it's brilliant. Here are photos from that day!:)
Jessica de Mesa, Head of Sales & Marketing for Marketplace said, “We connected with the most amazing local fashion entrepreneurs in the process of building Marketplace. As we continue to grow ZALORA Marketplace and seek out new talent, one thing we remain certain of is that Southeast Asia’s fashion industry is alive and flourishing.”
“What we are aiming to create is the biggest online fashion community in the Philippines by connecting designers and sellers with their customers via ZALORA Marketplace,” said Arianne Kader, Head of Operations for Marketplace. “It’s also an opportunity for our team to support boutiques by sharing strategies that will help them become stronger online fashion entrepreneurs.”
You should also watch out for another project they'd be launching soon -- TheOutlet.PH!!! It's an online designer boutique reinvented with a purpose to give back to the local community. The team carefully curates gently used items from brands like Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Tory Burch, and Kate Spade. The best part is that all stakeholders work together to contribute a portion of sales to a partner charity. Shopping with a cause, I like!:)
Congratulations again ZALORA for this awesome new venture!!! I can't wait to shop and see all the other brands:)
