Tooth Extraction & Cleaning at Affinity Dental Clinics Ortigas

I've had a serious upper left molar problem for months and it was such a pain in the arse because even though it was temporarily fixed with dental fillings, it still hurt sometimes. I delayed having it fixed because I traveled to Korea for a month and I couldn't decide if I wanted to do a root canal or tooth extraction. Long overdue, but I finally did it! I've known Affinity Dental for years now, but this is the first time I finally visited and tried their services. So happy I did! I chose their new branch Estancia, Ortigas for my visit because it's closest to me. Love the clean, fresh, and bright interiors!

Upon arrival, I was asked to fill up a patient form and then they asked (and assisted) me to put on this PPE set.

They worked on me immediately when I arrived. They asked me to sit and then I had a chat with Doc Regi as to what procedure will be best for my molar. He gave me 2 options-- root canal = tooth saved, more expensive, and no guarantee that it won't need fixing again, OR tooth extraction = bye forever molar, need denture, cheaper. We had an honest discussion and eventually we both agreed to do a tooth extraction. I just want it gone! Haha.

Had regular teeth cleaning first before my molar extraction. I can also see my teeth & gums through the monitor in front of me so it got me entertained hehe. The extraction took a while coz my molar was so stubborn and it took a while to budge haha! Didn't hurt though! Doc's hands were light and he was constantly asking me if I felt okay. It also only took 2 injections of anesthesia to numb that area. It was pretty comfortable and quick. :)

It only hurt the same day when the anesthesia wore off, but it was smooth sailing after that! My wound healed quickly, no infections, and I was able to eat anything a few days after. I will go back in February for my molar denture! Can't wait.
